Advanced Search - Search piRNA homologues

Enter a sequence (either in FASTA format or the sequence only) to search for homologous piRNAs.
piRNA homologues can be found using the following search types:

  • BLASTN search
    •    For BLASTN search, sequence should be equal or greater than 11 bases long.

  • String search
    •    Use String search option for shorter query sequences. (Search may take a few minutes.)

NOTE: WU-BLAST 2.0 has been implemented, which uses the following default parameters:
    E-value = 10, Maximum number of hits (B) = 100, no gaps.
User can specify parameters like e-value cut-off and maximum number of hits to be reported.
